School project for 100 children

Sakete Elementary School

Our school in Sakate has been active since 2010 and is located in a village on the edge of the forest, about 90 minutes away from Porto Nuovo, the official capital city of Benin. About a hundred children attend the school between the ages of 5 and 8, with classes being organized by professional teachers from the area. With a view to increasing the participation of the locals in the project as much as possible (above all women), we have provided, as is the case with our other centres for children, daily meals for the students (taking into consideration that many have been orphaned by one or both parents) and have built a nursery for the smallest children who are still unable to start the first year of school.
